Lives in the seaside suburb of Rockingham Western Australia with her husband, fellow sponsored athlete David Nazaroff and two Great Danes Flex and Lucy.
I train and work at Aqua Jetty which is a lovely new recreation centre 5 minutes from my home. Since it is so close I get to train a couple of times a day. Usually 2 cardio sessions morning and night, 1 weight session per day with a swim, sauna and steam a couple of times a week along with 1 pilates session per week.
I am a strong believer in health and wellness in Body Mind and Spirit. I am passionate about optimum nutrition, supplementation and relaxation all year round so I can live a strong, healthy and long life. I am also an avid goal setter with specific targets set for myself monthly, yearly and long term.
I have competed in INBA figure competitions since 2001 where I have gone on to win a number of state and national titles.
I underwent Open Heart Surgery in 2004 where I had my aortic and pulmonary valves replaced. After this operation many Doctors and friends said I would never compete again. Due to my strong belief in myself and passion for the sport I decided I would show everyone who doubted me that you could get back on the figure stage after undergoing life saving surgery.
In 2005 I fulfilled my dream of competing again and stepped onto the All Women’s INBA stage and went on to win the intermediate figure class. This was an emotional experience for me as the road to achieving this goal was the hardest and longest I have ever undertaken. I continued competing at the INBA Nationals and again won the intermediate figure class against a great line up of girls.
While I was still feeling quite well I decided to travel over to Las Vegas for the Olympia as I need to take advantage of everything life has to offer when I can as I never know what will be around the corner for me health wise. I placed 2nd in the tall class figure which was a fabulous outcome for someone on her own and recovering from open heart surgery.
2006 will be another competition year for me and I am stepping up into the Open Figure Class which will be a great challenge and learning curve for me.
